A JLP Presence at the PSAC National Women’s Conference
The most recent PSAC National Women’s Conference was held in Toronto at the Westin Harbour Castle Hotel from November 21-23, 2025, and the JLP was there! The JLP one-day kiosk was staffed by Catherine Gilbert and Roxanne Lépine, Co-Directors of the Program.
More than 300 women gathered at the Westin Harbour Castle for three days of learning, solidarity, and empowerment under the theme “Women United: Breaking Barriers and Building Futures.” Dozens of attendees dropped by the JLP kiosk, where they chatted with the Co-Directors about opportunities for collaboration. Conversations focused on how unions and departments could come together to organize JLP workshops and discussions in their workplaces. As well discussions took place on how members could become JLP facilitators and contribute to a workplace culture of learning, respect, and inclusion.
Women play a central role in the JLP’s mission with 79% of all JLP facilitators identifying as women. This is a testament to the impact, commitment and leadership women have within the public service. They are the face of the JLP, and are helping build positive, healthy, and respectful workplaces across the federal public service.
