Two kiosks in the National Capital Region
On February 27, RFCs Michèle Parent and Ronald Thériault welcomed over a hundred attendees at the Union of National Defence Employees Local Presidents Conference held at the Chateau Laurier in Ottawa. Participants were keen to talk about the opportunities offered by the JLP, and many were already active JLP facilitators, making for rich and engaging conversations.
Earlier that month, they also participated in the National Managers’ Community (NMC) Managers Connect Event held at the Marriott Hotel in Ottawa. The one-day event brought together approximately 200 participants and, notably, around 80% were attending their very first NMC event! For many, this was also the first introduction to the JLP. Attendees showed strong interest in learning about JLP offerings, and several expressed interest in becoming facilitators.
The JLP presence at both events was successful for different reasons. It is just as exciting to meet people who already know and love the JLP as it is to hype it up to folks who are hearing about it for the first time!
