Changes Made to Understanding the Collective Agreement
The JLP’s popular in-person workshop, Understanding the Collective Agreement, has been updated and restructured. In addition, the virtual discussion Understanding the Collective Agreement: Let’s Talk! has also been revised to align with the changes. The new editions will be available beginning February 19.
The JLP hopes the newest versions will continue to be an excellent tool for union members and their supervisors to learn to work with the new collective agreements in the public service.
The updated version of the in-person workshop is available in a one-day format and the virtual offering is available in a four-hour format. The updates reflect changes to language in the latest collective agreements with new case studies, graphics, and exercises to strengthen participants’ learning. In addition, the four-step approach - the backbone of the workshop to help understand collective agreement articles - has been reviewed and revised to be a more effective tool for all participants.
