The Atlantic Region hosts an Orientation Session
The most recent JLP Facilitator Orientation Session took place in St. John’s Newfoundland from October 30 to November 3, 2023.The Atlantic Regional Field Coordinators, Marc Diotte (employer) and Cassandra Grosse (union) hosted 18 prospective new facilitators andProgram Officers Nathalie Duquette (employer) and Konstantin Kilibarda (union) for a week of learning and growing together.
Participants worked from three popular JLP in-person workshop kits, experiencing activities from Preventing Harassment and Violence in the Workplace, Understanding the Collective Agreement, and Respecting Differences / Anti-Discrimination. The activities allowed future facilitators to become familiar with the JLP’s experiential learning approach while honing their facilitation and communication skills.
Excited for the rest of my journey towards becoming a JLP facilitator.
