Recognizing JLP Facilitators

On August 22nd, former Prairies/NWT employer Regional Field Coordinator (RFC) Corrinne Mitchell was recognized by Mindy Mackie, union RFC for her outstanding achievement of facilitating 50 workshops for the JLP.

Mindy presented Corrinne with the award at the Preventing Harassment and Violence in the Workplace workshop delivered for Correctional Service of Canada, in Drumheller, Alberta. Regional facilitators, Ken Squires and Deb Rule took part in the celebrations.

Corrinne was RFC in the region for 11 years. The JLP is grateful for her dedication to the Program, and care of facilitators, participants, organizers and her JLP colleagues.

 On September 4th, the BC/Yukon RFCs, Karla Backer and Aaron Billesberger recognized the achievements of three well-deserving facilitators:

Margot Cutcher from National Defence met her commitment of delivering five workshops in 18 months. Margot’s first five workshops were on four different topics, Duty to Accommodate (DTA), Labour-Management Consultation, Preventing Harassment and Violence in the Workplace and Understanding the Collective Agreement.

Ruth Morrison from Fisheries and Oceans received an achievement award for delivering 23 workshops since 2013. Ruth has facilitated five of the seven workshop topics.

Nora Johnson, from National Defence also received an achievement award for delivering 22 workshops since 2013. Nora has facilitated the DTA, Mental Health in the Workplace and Respecting Differences and Anti-Discrimination workshops.
