RFC and Facilitators meet up at the CEIU National Women’s Conference

On Saturday, March 4, the JLP had the opportunity to host a booth at the Canada Employment and Immigration Union (CEIU) National Women’s Conference held in beautiful Victoria, BC. There were 100 CEIU women members from across the country that came together for this event.

Mindy Mackie, Regional Field Coordinator (union) for the Prairies/Northwest Territories region, writes, “My booth was very well attended: so much so that I was out of most pamphlets by the end of the morning break. There was a lot of interest from women who had never heard of the JLP but were quite interested in both the workshops and the opportunity to become a facilitator. I also had the pleasure of meeting a few that are already part of our facilitator team.”Three women stand in front of a JLP display

Unexpectedly, Mindy was delighted to meet two JLP facilitators, Fedna Mayrand from Québec and Ruby Brar from the British Columbia/Yukon region.
