Mental Health in the Workplace

Fostering psychological health and safety.

This two-day workshop aims to raise awareness and to equip participants with the skills and knowledge to promote mental health in the workplace. You will explore the different phases of mental health and hear the stories of others in reclaiming their own mental health. Different forms of stigma toward people with mental health problems will be examined and discussed to refute myths and prevailing beliefs.

Along with various initiatives and tools fostering psychological health and safety, you will examine how 13 workplace factors as defined by the National Standard of Canada for Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace contribute to good mental health in the workplace. Signs and symptoms of mental health problems are discussed and you will collaborate with others to determine how to best provide support to colleagues in the workplace.
