JLP Celebrates 5000th workshop
On February 28th, 2018 the Joint Learning Program (JLP) proudly celebrated the delivery of its 5,000th workshop. This achievement represents the participation of over 80,000 public service employees (union and employer) in JLP workshops across Canada.
The JLP’s mandate is to improve workplace relations and to deepen the understanding of the roles of the union and the employer, through the delivery of seven workshop topics.
This important milestone was celebrated in various regions across Canada during the following workshops:
- Understanding the Collective Agreement (Miramichi, Niagara Falls, Montreal and Ottawa)
- Mental Health in the Workplace (Ottawa and Laval)
- Creating a Harassment-Free Workplace (Ottawa)
- Duty to Accommodate (Winnipeg)

As part of the celebrations, an Open House was hosted at the JLP’s national office in Ottawa. Employees of the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) were invited to learn about the 10-year history of this unique program and to celebrate the 5000th workshop milestone. The event was well attended and appreciated by all.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that has contributed to the success of the Program. We could not have reached this milestone without JLP facilitators, organizers, participants and active supporters. Let us continue to work together building healthy workplaces!
